What this website currently does

• Does not use any on-site form to collect your email address — the “Explore Ireland” section in the footer links to other pages and does not submit or store anything.

• Does not set any non-essential cookies.
• Does not sell products, services, or paid subscriptions.

If any of the above changes — for example, if analytics or advertising is switched on in future — this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what is collected, and (for analytics or advertising specifically) a cookie consent banner will let visitors accept, reject, or manage that before any such cookie is set.

Emails and messages you send us

If you email us — for a correction, a suggestion, a partnership enquiry, or anything else — we'll have your email address and whatever else you choose to include in your message. We use this only to read and respond to what you've sent, on the basis that it's necessary for that purpose (and, where relevant, our legitimate interest in running this publication). We don't add you to a mailing list, sell your details, or use your message for any other purpose. We keep emails for as long as reasonably needed to handle your enquiry and for a limited period afterwards for our own records, then delete them.

Technical data our hosting infrastructure processes

Like effectively any website, the infrastructure that serves these pages to your browser necessarily processes some technical information to do so — things like your IP address, browser type, and basic request logs. This is standard, automatic web-server behaviour rather than something we actively collect or analyse ourselves, and it's used only for keeping the site running securely (for example, detecting abuse). We don't combine it with any other information to identify individual visitors.

Data minimisation and retention

We only ever hold the information you actually give us for the reason you gave it to us — mainly, the contents of emails sent to our contact address. Because this site currently has no accounts, subscriptions, or stored visitor profiles, there is no other personal data of yours for us to retain or describe here.

This website is served by a third-party web hosting provider, which necessarily processes the technical data described above as part of delivering the site to you. We don't currently use any analytics, advertising, email-marketing, or other data-processing service beyond hosting.
